Stuff I Buy

I generally get the same things whenever I hit the store, usually Wally or Kroger, depending on who has lower prices. Every trip, I try to get 2 Dak hams, 2 cans of Treet, 2 cans of salmon, 2 containers of salt, and 2 2# bags of brown rice. (I know, it doesn't last as long as the depleted stuff :p) Once in a while, I'll get one of each of the 50 cent spices to put downstairs, two bags each of the dried beans and lentils, and a can of Arabica coffee (I'm not going without my coffee, SHTF or not.)

I save the mass vegetable purchases for Aldi. They don't give you a whole lot of static when you walk out of there with a couple hundred cans of stuff. The goal (goal, not reality yet) is to accumulate at least 1440 cans of assorted veggies.

Bulk stuff is in the plastic buckets. I have a hard time trying to get that stuff ready. I guess it doesn't actually seem like food when it's in buckets like that; kinda looks like buckets of drywall mud.

Anyway, that's what's on the prepper plate right now.

As much as I use spices, we will be using the ones you've bought until approximately the year 2055 :-P

or if people get hard up, maybe they will trade us spices for chocolate. Ya think?

Doubt it. You chocolate-deprived females will deplete the world supply within 48 hours of SHTF.
