Celebrities

Farrah and Michael are both dead on the same day.

It's a sad thing that they are dead, but why are their deaths more worthy of mourning than any other?

They were entertainers. In the 18th century, their deaths would have gone unnoticed and they would have been summarily deposited in a common grave.

I feel for their families. They have lost someone important to them. Let them mourn without all this publicity crap.

They were no more nor less important than any other human being.

Yeah, it sounds cold, but it's an indictment more of our media culture than the people themselves.

Requiescat in pacem, guys.

Hell yea Crusty, my thought exactly. Millions of children die each day from starvation...and we have pampered and rich celebs die and everyone is sad. Yea it's sad for their families but other than that why does anyone else care?
