Interesting Concept

I saw a call in Breda's comment section for a nationwide strike on 20 January 2010 to coincide with 0bongo's State of the Reich speech.

Works for me. Better yet, call it John Galt day and have productive citizens do absolutely NOTHING that day that will benefit anyone else except their immediate family. Spend no money. No work, no shopping, no travel, except to picket lines. Hell, don't even watch TV, that just props up the media's numbers and makes them look important.

I'm starting to like this idea.

I pledge to not do anything on that day!

(uh, wait a sec ... I'm retired and don't do much on any other day... hmmmmmmm)

ROFL! I wish I were in your shoes. For someone who is supposedly "retired", I sure have to work a lot.

"But you say that money is made by the strong at the expense of the weak? What strength do you mean? It is not the strength of guns or muscles. Wealth is the product of man's capacity to think. Then is money made by the man who invents a motor at the expense of those who did not invent it? Is money made by the intelligent at the expense of the fools? By the able at the expense of the incompetent? By the ambitious at the expense of the lazy? Money is made - before it can be looted or mooched - made by the effort of every honest man, each to the extent of his ability. An honest man is one who knows that he can't consume more than he has produced."
