What civilian needs a pistol with a magazine that loads 33 bullets and allows you to kill that many people without even stopping to reload?
Last I knew, if you didn't have some form of DD Form 2, you were a civilian.
Even the cops that run around in fake BDUs carrying M4geries.
That's why we military police types called them "civilian police departments."
So Peggy, according to your own logic, the PoPo can't have those evil "high-capacity clips" either.
I, however, get to keep mine :-)

I've been noting the articles on Egypt that have talked of the civilians arming themselves in any way they can as amongst the uprising the police are no way to be found.
My parents were both police officers. I'm LEO, perhaps at a higher level, but LEO all the same, so I respect the profession more than anyone. But when the (##* hits the fan, they've going into survival mode, as you will. And depending on the circumstances and the scope of it, you may well be on your own.
